“Ayubowan” Welcome to Sri Lanka! Your adventure begins when your local host greets you at Bandaranaike Airport, Colombo. A small relaxing property awaits your arrival. If you arrive earlier in the day, spend time enjoying the peaceful garden and pool or walking around the fishing village of Negombo. Alternatively there is a lovely walk around Pilikuttuwa Rajamaha Temple & Cave Hill.

This afternoons adventure takes you off road into one of Sri Lanka’s less visited national parks in search of elephants and the more elusive leopards and sloth bears. Your wildlife experience doesn’t end there, feel at one with nature tonight in a tented safari park.

Start the day with a morning safari After breakfast you have a choice of activities that could include planting a tree, cooking class? Bird watching? Enjoy the afternoon exploring one of Sri Lanka’s Ancient capitals Anuradhapura, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, it is protected by UNESCO and revered for its significance to Buddhism.

Witness local life in the Cultural Triangle with a Hiriwadunna Village trip to see traditional houses, paddy fields, and enjoy a local Sri Lankan lunch. Get to know the villagers fishermen, jump aboard a boat to sail to the other side of the lake, bullock cart trip.

This evening witness sunset across the cultural triangle from the ruins of King Kasyapa’s palace on the summit of Sigiriya Rock.

A birds eye view provides a unique perspective of this rural area when you experience a hot air balloon flight (seasonal). Polonnaruwa primates & local lunch – Polonnaruwa isn’t just home to the remains of an Ancient Kingdom today you also have the chance to get to know about the local monkey troops that dwell here.

The primates here are protected for conservation and scientific research allowing you a real insight into why their continued protection is so important.

We will travel on to Kandy for an evening visit to the Temple of the Tooth and to explore Kandy with a local. On your way stop in for a glimpse into ancient buddhist life with a visit to Dambulla Cave temple.
